Sacred Heart to Provide Free Health Screenings in June

During June, Sacred Heart Health System will provide free heart-health and osteoporosis screenings at locations in Pensacola, Cantonment and Gulf Breeze for adults who are poor, elderly or uninsured.  Heart-health screenings will measure blood pressure, blood sugar and total cholesterol, and can detect anemia. The screenings are helpful in diagnosing conditions that put people at high risk for heart attack, stroke, diabetes and other health problems. Osteoporosis screenings measure bone density.  Following is the schedule for June:

•    June 5 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Bethel AME Church, 511 Woodland Dr., Pensacola. Osteoporosis screenings only.
•    June 6 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 401 Van Pelt Lane, Pensacola. Osteoporosis screenings only.
•    June 9 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Sonlight Christian Center Community Health & Wellness Day, 6516 W. Jackson St., Pensacola. Heart-health screenings only.
•    June 16 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at New Birth Baptist Church, 1610 N. “Q” St., Pensacola. Heart-health screenings.
•    June 19 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Charity Chapel, 5807 Dallas Ave., Pensacola. Osteoporosis screenings only.
•    June 20 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 100 Daniel St., Gulf Breeze. Osteoporosis screenings only.
•    June 21 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 3200 N. 12th Ave., Pensacola. Osteoporosis screenings only.
•    June 26 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at Wesley Scott Place,3300 W. Scott St., Pensacola. Heart-health screenings only.
•    June 28 from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Monica’s Episcopal Church, 699 S. Hwy. 95A, Cantonment. Osteoporosis screenings only.
